How to disenchant objects in Minecraft
Minecraft’s enchanted objects produce alterations that we may not want to keep for long. However, disenchanting them will cost us some resources. Let us show you how to disenchant objects in two ways, with a grindstone, and through the crafting menu.
Disenchanting objects with the grindstone
The best way to disenchant a weapon is using a grindstone. If you do not have a grindstone, do not worry, here are the ingredients:
- 1 stone slab
- 2 sticks
- 2 blocks of any planks, such as oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, sturdy oak, crimson, or distorted oak.
When making the grindstone, the objects should be placed in the following order:
- First row: Sticks on the left and right, stone slab in the center.
- Second row: Planks on the left and right, empty in the center.
- Third row: Empty.
Once the grindstone is made, we only need to place the weapon or enchanted object in one of the two blocks, and it will appear without enchantment to pick it up. With this method, you also get lots of experience points.
Disenchanting objects by crafting
This method is a little expensive. It involves using the crafting grid by placing the same object twice, one enchanted and one not enchanted. This way, you will only have one left without enchanting, although you will have lost the other one along the way. This method is a waste of money more than anything else, but in the lack of a grindstone, it can be useful if you do not even want to just throw it away.
Objects that cannot be disenchanted
In Minecraft, two enchantments cannot be removed. Specifically, these enchantments are:
- Curse of Vanishing
- Curse of Binding
Both curses disappear upon death; thus being the only way to “Disenchant” the linked objects.
