Sunset will last about 5-6 minutes. Players will see the sun slowly starting to set and after 5-6 minutes, the world will switch to a night cycle and the moon will slowly start to rise.

How long is the night cycle

The night cycle in Minecraft lasts 13,000 game ticks. This is about 8 1/3 minutes in real-time. This is when the mobs will start appearing and the villagers will rush into their huts.

Before the sun actually rises again, players will experience a brief sunrise that lasts for 5/6 minutes. They would see the moon slowly begin to set, and the sun would slowly begin to rise.

As the sun rose, the mobs would start to disappear and the villagers would come out of their huts. If the player decides to sleep throughout the night cycle, the weather will be set to clear.
